Hello Rug Hooking World!

The Western Reserve Rug Hookers, ATHA Chapter 119, welcome you to their new blog!  We are a guild of 80 members who meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Bainbridge Community Church, Route 306, in Bainbridge, Ohio.  If you go to our website at http://www.westernreserverughookers.com, you will find an interactive map on the “Welcome” page to help you find your way to our meetings.  Our next meeting is on Thursday, October 7th, and we have a program scheduled with Fritz Mitnick and Susanne McNally who will do “Cookie Cutter” rugs with interested members.  Bring your own cookie cutters, a black sharpie and a ruler and  linen will be available for you to purchase.  The October meeting will also be the time to get your pattern for our logo challenge that all members are welcome to take part in.  Linen will be provided by the guild and Kate Porter has a paper pattern ready for you to transfer to the linen.  These challenge mats that feature the guild’s logo will be hung in the rug show at Lake Metroparks Farmpark at the Woolfest the last weekend in June.  WRRH co-sponsors the Woolfest and holds their annual rug show in the Exhibition Hall.  Please join us for an inspiring meeting and year!

    Thank you,
I am looking forward to the links and keeping up with all the doings of WRRH. It will be a great way to stay in touch if I am on the road and happen to miss a meeting or event.
This is the start of something good…. I love it.
