Recruiting new members!

On Friday Christine Goyer and I attended an estate sale in Russell.  While we looked at the many things for sale, we noticed a pale blue Pendelton plaid kilt on a chair.  We both looked it over and were talking about the weight and feel of it when a voice said, “You must be rug hookers!  Only rug hookers are concerned about the weight and feel of a skirt!”  We confessed that we were rug hookers and introduced ourselves to Nancy Ferguson who is also a rug hooker in Russell, Ohio.  Nancy is not affiliated with a guild and so we talked to her about going to our October meeting and joining our active, talented guild.  I sent her a copy of Christine’s September newsletter and the link for our website.  Nancy wrote back to me to say that she plans to be at the October meeting and that meeting us was just the impetus she needed to join the guild!  Please welcome Nancy when she comes to the meeting in October.  She designs her own rugs and I know that you will be interested in meeting her and seeing her work.  I am always proud to talk about our guild and all the wonderful talent that we have.  We are an inspiration to those who join us!
